FSI members are aligning efforts to accelerate gender equality in the flower supply chain by addressing the topic in a working group setting.
CSO members BSR HERproject, HIVOS and Partner Africa meet on a regular basis to align activities, share best practices and develop solutions for improvements while strengthening their partnership with EHPEA, Kenya Flower Council and other local stakeholders in East Africa.
A first learning session will be organised during IFTEX trade fair in Nairobi on 8th June at 14:00. As gender equality is increasingly recognised as a key driver for growth and sustainability, the FSI Working Group on Gender learning session will be a fantastic opportunity to take part in a discussion that takes a closer look at the valuable role of women’s empowerment in the future of the flower industry. The 1-hour open discussion will convene a broad section of the industry – workers, management, and buyers – on the benefits of company investments in worker welfare and gender equality
