A TRANSPARENT AND RESPONSIBLE

SUPPLY CHAIN

The Floriculture Sustainability Initiative (FSI) is a market-driven initiative that brings together members of the international floriculture sector. Since 2013 FSI members continue to build on the progress made on transparency, responsible production and trade, positive impact and improvement in the floriculture supply chain.

FSI 2030 Strategy

FSI’s ambition is to help future-proof the floriculture sector through supporting sustainable practices that benefit people, nature and society as a whole

The 2030 strategy builds upon the foundation of the FSI 2025 results, incorporating sectoral and sustainability trends as well as upcoming regulations. These elements serve as key anchors to guide FSI’s evolution and establish a strong, long-term vision with clear actions on 5 topics of impact for 2030 and beyond.

FSI BASKET OF STANDARDS

TRANSPARENCY — The great variety of standards and certifications in the floriculture sector contribute to higher levels of sustainability. Floriculture standards in the FSI Basket are successfully benchmarked against international basic requirements and legislation.

RESPONSIBILITY — The FSI Basket is used as verified and independent reference for responsible sourcing on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Social and Environmental. Producers can comply with the FSI Basket requirements when certified by the accepted standards.

The Basket of Standards will remain at the core of FSI strategy, ensuring that all members are aligned with FSI benchmarked sustainability standards and regulations.
